Vitamin D
Sometimes called the 'Sunshine' vitamin, because our bodies make it from direct sunlight on the skin, vitamin D is essential for the proper absorption of calcium and potassium. These nutirents together with magnesium help to promote healthy bones and teeth, as well as maintaining neuromuscular function and the immune system.
The calcification properties of vitamin D can also be improved when taken with vitamin K2.
In recent months the NHS and the Government have started recommedning taking at least 10µg (400iu) of vitamin D daily to help keep your bones and muscles healthy as the pandemic has meant spending more time indoors and so getting less direct sunlight on our skin.
