Omegas
Omega Oils, sometimes refered to as fatty acids are divided into several catagories, the most common of which are omega-3, omega-6 and omega-9.
Both polyunsaturated, omega-3 fatty acids include EPA, DHA and alpha-linolenic acid, whilst omega-6 fatty acids include linoleic acid, gamma-linolenic acid and arachidonic acid. Omega-9 fatty acids are considered non-essential but are still beneficial with the most common form being oleic acid, and these are monounsaturated.
Veganicity's omega-3 products are derived from algae (Schizochytrium sp. microalgae), which provide a good source of fatty acids, to help with the maintanence of normal brain function, heart health and general all round health.
Our omega-6 products are a very popular part of our range and are plant derived and have been in vegan capsules for many years, and help regulate many body processes, including the immune system and hormones. Omega-6 is also aided in these processes by omega-9.
